A representative from the Elizabeth Buffum Chase House arrived at the Warwick Empire Beauty School expecting to pick up a few donated cleaning supplies and toiletries for the domestic abuse shelter. To her surprise, she was presented with a donation in the amount of $1565.50. The students raised the money during Empire's National Day of Beauty event.
After the check presentation, the students continued offering free beauty services to guests and tours of the school to prospective students. The theme for the day was fitting as it tied into Empire's motto and Valentine's day, “Love What You Do!” All the students wore some type of pink and Student Ambassadors all wore pink corsages.
The school also displayed mannequins from their two competitions which was held earlier in the week. The winners of the competition will head to Empire's Future Professionals Expo in May. During the open house event, the school hosted another competition for the Future Pro Expo and attendees were able to view the students' creative work.
