100 Days Kicks Off At Pottsville, PA, School

The 100 Days of Empire kicked off at the Pottsville, PA, Empire Beauty School. Those in attendance included representatives from Schuylkill Women in Crisis, the Chamber of Commerce, local businesses and prospective students who listened in as Empire Education Group Chairman and CEO Frank Schoeneman gladly presented the Schuylkill Women in Crisis 
with a check for $6,627.98. The money was raised by the students at the Pottsville school during National Day of Beauty, a one day of beauty event which also raises awareness about domestic violence and its victims.
National Day of Beauty is part of the Empire Gives Back program. Schoeneman discussed continued plans to assist those in need, milestones of the company headquartered also in Pottsville.
During the afternoon, attendees enjoyed complimentary beauty services from the senior level students such as haircuts and manicures. Student competitions took place during the festivities and door prizes containing beauty supplies were handed out.
Potential students at the event were also able to talk to students and teachers to get a better understanding of the cosmetology school. Industry professionals were also on hand at the event to offer networking opportunities to the senior level students working on the salon floor.
