The Jersey City Natural Motion school hosted their 100 Days of Empire using the theme Pop Culture Through the Decades. The salon floor was decorated in 70’s style as the students dressed like a particular decade. The school looked great and the music was pumping throughout the building.
Special guest Charmaine Chaddan, a representative from Women Rising, arrived as the school presented her with a check for $683.60. The donation not only impressed Chaddan, but solidified the school's partnership with the shelter moving forward. Chaddan plans to visit the school to speak with the students about domestic violence and the signs of abuse.
Throughout the day the students and staff offered tours of the school and offered complimentary beauty services to guests. "We had some steady traffic throughout the day which resulted in four new enrollments. All in all everything went smoothly and our staff and students all enjoyed themselves," said Executive Director Shawn Calrow.
