Hanover School Rolls Out the 50's in Full Swing for Open House Event!

The Hanover Empire Beauty School celebrated a 50’s theme during their 100 Days of Empire Open House event. Records and balloons hung from the ceilings as staff, students and attendees listened to 50’s music
playing throughout the day. There was even a 1950’s car parked outside of the school. The students battled it out during a 50’s hair competition complete with bouffants and bows. Attendees of the event judged the best hairstyles. In keeping with the 50’s theme, a server from the local Sonic restaurant arrived on roller skates to deliver 100 mini burgers and sodas.
During the festivities, the school also proudly presented a check for a donation of $2454.39 to Safe Home, a local domestic violence shelter in which the school “adopted” during Empire’s National Day of Beauty event in October. The one day of beauty services works in conjunction with Empire Gives Back.
Several local businesses, salon representatives and prospective students were also in attendance at the Open House event, where the staff and students raffled off door prizes every hour. Many of the attendees received gift certificates for a complimentary facial, pedicure and manicure at the Hanover school. The students later reenacted the dance scene from the movie Grease and did the infamous moves to “Born to Hand Jive” and “We Go Together.”

Join us on Friday for Empire's Hanover, PA, Open House event - it's sure to be an exciting one! All are welcome to attend and take a tour of the school, learn more about a career in cosmetology and enjoy the competitions and festivities by our incredible students! More importantly, the Hanover school plans to present a donation to Safe House with the funds the students raised during Empire's one day of beauty services event in October, National Day of Beauty.
