The Exton Empire Beauty School celebrated their 100 Days of Empire with a Luau complete with leis for students and guests. There were balloons, steel drum music and other decorations to set the tone. There was a cool treat of Italian ice for everyone during the hot afternoon.
The students also participated in a mannequin up-do competition with a Hawaiian theme. Most students accompanied the hairstyles with flowers during the one hour competition. The senior students were busy on the salon floor offering free hairstyles to welcomed guests from the time the school opened.
The school also presented a check to their local elected domestic violence shelter, Domestic Violence Center of Chester County, in the amount of $557.00. The shelter was so appreciative of the donation and explained to the students exactly how the funds would benefit those staying at the shelter.
