with hands-on training in our modern schools and student salons.
Empire has been providing high-quality cosmetology education since the inception
of our first beauty school in Wilkes-Barre, PA, in 1935. Empire's growth expanded
throughout Pennsylvania with 20 locations before further expanding our presence
on the east coast with the acquisition of cosmetology schools in Maryland, New Jersey,
Georgia, North Carolina, and Virginia. With 31 locations across six states, Empire
continued to move into the New York, Boston and Illinois markets focusing our efforts
on committed dedication to our students' educational success.
After years of successfully
integrating the operations of other schools into Empire, more significant opportunities
were further investigated. In 2007, Empire Beauty Schools welcomed an additional
51 schools into the Empire family network. The merger with the school division of
the Regis Corporation, the largest salon organization in the world, created Empire
Education Group. In 2009 we added nine more schools from Tennessee and North Carolina
into our network of beauty schools.
Empire Education Group now educates over 20,000 future beauty professionals annually.
Our schools use our unique Certified Learning in Cosmetology (CLiC) curriculum and
also participate in additional training through
CUT IT OUT, an educational program for beauty professionals to raise awareness
about domestic violence. The CUT IT OUT program works in conjunction with Empire
Gives Back, our own awareness campaign which raises funds and support for local
shelters across the country.

We have a team of experienced educators instructing and training our students on
the principles and latest techniques in beauty. And, each of our cosmetology schools

of salons, spas and other beauty organizations, our future beauty professionals
have a variety of career options at their fingertips. Plus, we've created our own
career placement website for alumni to learn how to create resumes, portfolios and
access hiring employers.
Our employment site allows
hiring employers to view profiles and portfolios of our highly trained Empire Beauty
School graduates. Likewise, grads have the opportunity to view, research and apply
for available positions locally and across the country.
