Louisville Open House Event Rolls Out The Red Carpet!

The Chenoweth Empire Beauty School rolled out the red carpet for their special guests from the Center for Women and Families, faux celebrities such as Paris Hilton, Elvis, Sinatra, Betty Boop, Marilyn Monroe, and other community guests who were welcomed to attend the cosmetology school’s day-long event.
The students and staff collected donated gift certificates and other items to raffle off during the event. Each raffle ticket was one dollar and students and guests could all participate. The event raised an additional $250 to be donated to the local domestic violence shelter, Center for Women and Families, in addition to the funds presented that were raised during Empire’s National Day of Beauty in the amount of $989.50. The students were so passionate about the additional money raised during the event.
The students then participated in a hair competition which was judged by owner of 5th Avenue, a local salon. The winners were chosen based on head to toe technique, hair, make-up, and fashion. The winners were “Paris Hilton” and “Nicole Richie.” The winners received professional beauty products and other items they can use for the practical part of their state board exam.
