Top Model On Hand At Bloomington Event!
April 12, 2010
The Bloomington Empire Beauty School celebrated the 100 Days of Empire Hawaiian Style
and with a little help from this season’s America’s Next Top Model contestant Raina Hein, who signed autographs and was also present for the check presentation to the school’s local domestic violence shelter. The school donated $ 2,476.46 to Cornerstone Advocacy Service.
The students also hosted a fashion show at the school
showcasing each student’s hair, makeup and fashion talents. There were also guest vendors present for the event—a former student did a demonstration on threading, a way to remove unwanted hair and there was also a demonstration on henna tattoos. The Bloomington school also had stations set up for guests to receive complementary manicures, paraffin dips, updos, pressure point therapy, and makeup application. The students also participated in networking opportunities with local salon and community representatives. In Minnesota there are over 5,000 salons.
