The Appleton Empire Beauty School donated $677.95 to the Harbor House Domestic Abuse Program, their local domestic violence shelter. The shelter offers resources and information about domestic abuse.
In addition to the free beauty services and tours of the cosmetology school, the Appleton Empire Beauty School students also participated in an up-do competition to go with their Red Carpet theme. The students also held a fashion show at the school. As each student dressed in their favorite red carpet attire and walked the runway, information about the students were announced. Information ranged from what they liked to do in their spare time, what they wanted to do when they graduated, favorites, and more.
